What is B&Q Marketplace?

B&Q Marketplace is the part of diy.com where other businesses sell. Kingfisher owns it and it runs on Mirakl.

Get approved and you become what B&Q calls a verified seller. Your products show up in the same search results as B&Q’s own range, but the stock is yours and you ship the orders yourself. B&Q keeps the shopfront, the customer and the payment.

The Mirakl bit is worth knowing. Tesco and The Range sit on the same platform, so the connection you set up for B&Q is the one that reaches them too.

One record, live everywhere

Fill a product in once; PlusRanger maps it to B&Q and every other channel you sell on.

Real-time stock sync

Sell anywhere and stock updates on B&Q instantly, with safety buffers so you never oversell.

Bulk listing, staged and queued

Queue a whole range for B&Q through a staged listing queue, not one product at a time.

A repricer that knows your margin

Every price move is checked against your real cost, fees and shipping first. Approve them one by one, or let it run inside guardrails you set.

Profit and loss per order

Every B&Q order carries its own P&L: commission, shipping, VAT and cost of goods. You see what you made, not what you invoiced.

VAT invoices for your customers

A numbered VAT invoice is generated for every B&Q order, in its own series, with the UK VAT split worked out for you.

AI ticket replies

B&Q customer messages land in one inbox. AI drafts the reply, you approve it, and the reply window is tracked so nothing quietly ages out.

AI lifestyle imagery

Short on photography? Generate on-brand lifestyle shots from the product images you already have, before the listing goes up.

AI listings written for your buyer

Set your tone of voice and who you actually sell to once. Titles and descriptions are written to that profile, not to a generic template.

Built for B&Q

Listings that meet B&Q’s rules on the first try

PlusRanger syncs Kingfisher’s category tree and attribute schemas, so the form you fill in is the one B&Q actually expects — dropdown values included.

  • AI-assisted category matching plus full required-attribute mapping, kept in sync with Kingfisher’s live taxonomy
  • Bulk listing runs through a staged queue — send a whole range up without babysitting each SKU
  • Price and discount changes push to B&Q with fat-finger guards, so a mistyped figure is stopped before it reaches the marketplace
  • Settlement reconciliation matches Kingfisher’s commission and refund lines against your orders, with amount-tolerance checks
  • Returns import, Click & Drop dispatch, and VAT invoicing generated automatically

B&Q Marketplace login

B&Q Marketplace sellers sign in to Kingfisher’s Mirakl seller portal. There is no B&Q Seller Central. Kingfisher issues your login and your API key once your seller account is approved, and that portal is where offers, orders and messages officially live.

PlusRanger is a separate login that sits on top. You paste the Kingfisher API key in once, and after that your B&Q catalogue, orders, dispatch, returns and invoices show up next to every other channel you sell on. No more logging in and out of one portal per marketplace all day.

Lost access to the Kingfisher portal itself? That reset has to come from Kingfisher’s seller support. We cannot issue or recover marketplace logins, and neither can anyone else’s software.

Verified sellers

B&Q verified sellers

“Verified seller” is B&Q’s label for an approved third-party seller on diy.com. Their products turn up in the same search results as B&Q’s own range, marked as sold by that seller, and B&Q vets the business before it goes live.

Approval is Kingfisher’s decision and their process: company checks, product categories, service standards. PlusRanger plays no part in it. What we do is make the bit after approval survivable, by getting your catalogue into the shape B&Q’s categories demand before you start uploading.

Connecting

How to connect B&Q Marketplace to PlusRanger

Paste your Kingfisher API key

One key from your Kingfisher seller portal. The same connection reaches Tesco, The Range and every other Mirakl marketplace you are approved on.

Pull B&Q’s taxonomy

PlusRanger syncs Kingfisher’s category tree, required attributes and dropdown value lists, so you are working from B&Q’s live rules, not a stale spreadsheet.

Read in what is already live

Existing B&Q offers and orders are imported rather than re-keyed, so nothing is duplicated and your history comes with you.

Map your catalogue

AI-assisted category matching proposes the B&Q category per product; required attributes auto-fill from your inventory record and you fill only the gaps.

Check, then queue

Every product is validated against B&Q’s rules first. Anything missing is listed with the reason. The rest goes up through the bulk listing queue.

Run it

Orders, dispatch, Click & Drop manifests, returns, VAT invoices and settlement reconciliation all flow back into the same screen.

B&Q retail media

We also read B&Q’s own search data

PlusRanger shows what shoppers actually type into diy.com, and what the bids look like against it.

That matters for listings as much as for ads. The phrases B&Q shoppers search are rarely the phrases in your supplier’s product title, and radiator vs radiators is not a rounding error. One s. Completely different market.

Write the listing in shopper language. Then bid like you mean it.

Beyond B&Q

One connection, the whole Mirakl estate

B&Q is one Mirakl marketplace among many. Tesco, The Range, Superdrug, Argos, Mountain Warehouse and Rackhams all run on the same platform, and PlusRanger connects to every Mirakl instance.

Each marketplace keeps its own panel, its own categories and its own state — but the catalogue behind them is one record, so adding your second Mirakl marketplace is far less work than the first.

B&Q Marketplace questions

What is B&Q Marketplace?

B&Q Marketplace is the part of diy.com where approved third-party businesses sell. Kingfisher owns it and it runs on Mirakl. Sellers list their own products next to B&Q’s range, hold their own stock and ship their own orders, while B&Q keeps the shopfront, the customer and the payment.

Is B&Q Marketplace on Mirakl?

Yes. B&Q’s marketplace is a Mirakl marketplace run by Kingfisher. That is why one Mirakl integration can reach B&Q, Tesco, The Range and the other UK Mirakl marketplaces through the same API, instead of needing a separate build per retailer.

Where do I log in to B&Q Marketplace?

Sellers log in to Kingfisher’s Mirakl seller portal. There is no separate “B&Q Seller Central”. Kingfisher issues your portal login and API key when your seller account is approved, and their seller support handles any reset. No integration can issue or recover a marketplace login.

What is a B&Q verified seller?

“Verified seller” is B&Q’s term for an approved third-party seller on diy.com. Their products appear in normal diy.com search results, marked as sold by that seller. Approval is Kingfisher’s own vetting process and is decided entirely by them.

What is B&Q Marketplace integration software?

Software that connects your product catalogue, stock and orders to B&Q’s Mirakl API, so you are not managing listings by spreadsheet upload. In practice that means category and attribute mapping to B&Q’s taxonomy, bulk listing, order and returns import, dispatch, VAT invoicing and settlement reconciliation.

Why do B&Q reject my listings?

Almost always a missing or invalid required attribute for the category you picked. B&Q’s taxonomy is deep, each category demands its own attributes, and many of them come from fixed dropdown value lists. PlusRanger keeps those lists synced from Kingfisher and checks each product before upload, so you see a fixable gap rather than a failed batch.

Can I sell on B&Q and other marketplaces from one catalogue?

Yes. One product record in PlusRanger maps out to B&Q, Tesco, The Range, Amazon, TikTok Shop, Temu and Shopify. Each channel keeps its own category mapping and its own required fields, but you maintain the product once.

Does PlusRanger handle B&Q orders and VAT invoices?

Yes. B&Q orders import automatically, dispatch can go out through Royal Mail Click & Drop manifests, returns are imported, and VAT invoices are generated per order. Kingfisher’s commission and refund lines are reconciled against your orders with amount-tolerance checks.

How long does it take to connect B&Q?

The connection itself is one API key and takes minutes. What takes real time is mapping your catalogue to B&Q’s categories and filling required attributes, and that is the part the category matching and auto-fill are there to shorten.

Which other retailers run on Mirakl?

In the UK, Mirakl powers marketplaces for B&Q, Tesco, The Range, Superdrug, Argos, Mountain Warehouse and Rackhams, among others. PlusRanger connects to every Mirakl instance, so being approved on a second one is a credential away rather than a new integration project.
